FIND A FAMILY THAT FITS
Your Placement Should Work for You Too
A successful placement is about more than meeting a list of requirements. Your schedule, location, personality, experience and professional goals should also be considered.
Kith introduces you to families whose requirements match your profile. You receive relevant placement information before proceeding, giving you an opportunity to decide whether the role feels right for you.

Being an Au Pair starts with trust grows with training, and should reward you like the professional you are.
Every Au pair on the Kith panel is vetted, trained through the Kith Academy, and covered by free life and disability insurance while active with us.

I stopped chasing families and started getting matched with ones who actually wanted me there. My first placement paid on time, every week, without me having to askKiddoz’s tutors inspired my team and me with engaging lessons and clear guidance. Their classes helped us connect and learn with joy every step.

Frequently asked questions
Where are Kith’s au pair placements available?
Simply sign up on our website or email us. We’ll help you choose the best course and get started right away.
Do I need experience to apply?
Yes. We ask for experience with children and references we can call. Our vetting process includes an ID check, police clearance, and a practical session with children
Can I say no to a family?
Yes. We introduce, you decide. You're never sent somewhere you don't want to go.
What happens if I experience a problem during my placement?
You can contact the Kith team for guidance and support. We encourage families and providers to raise concerns early so that expectations can be clarified and the appropriate next steps considered.
Do I need a driver’s license and my own vehicle?
Not for every placement. Some families require an au pair with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for school runs and activities, while others do not. Each opportunity will clearly state its transport requirements before you apply.
How much can an Au pair earn in Gauteng?
Kith Au pair placements start from approximately R8,750 per month. Your actual earnings will depend on your experience, working hours, responsibilities, transport requirements and the needs of the family. Compensation is explained before you accept a placement.
Can I choose which families I interview with?
Yes. Kith introduces you to families whose location, schedule and requirements align with your profile. You remain in control and may choose whether to attend an interview or accept a proposed placement.
What checks are required before I can be placed?
Kith’s verification process may include identity, reference, qualification and other role-relevant checks.Â
